Intensive driving lessons with

Leader School of Driving

Courses available

We recommend that all intensive courses are strictly on a one to one basis, so that you can learn at your own pace. Your instructor will monitor your ability using a track record on a continuous basis and discuss your progress with you regularly.

Take advantage of our introductory lesson offer. This will give you and your instructor the chance to get to know each other.  Your instructor will then be able to assess your driving and give you sound advice on the best course of action for you.

Typically courses can last from three to fifteen days with morning and afternoon sessions each lasting three and half hours with occasional breaks and separated by a lunch break of at least an hour.

Leader School of Driving will try to arrange your driving test to be a few days after completion of your course. Experience shows that you will perform better on test if you are well rested and fresh on the day. We will also consider leaving enough time for us to cancel the test without loss of the test fee if really necessary. Just knowing that you have the option will help prevent molehills becoming mountains during your course and if necessary arrange another day session before your test if you seem to be having problems in your driving, making the whole experience much more enjoyable.                                                 Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance

Learning with a local driving instructor is preferable to a residential intensive driving course. Without the added cost of travel and accommodation it will be cheaper too. Residential driving courses almost invariably involve taking the practical driving test on the last day of the course. Far better to take the test in a relaxed frame of mind after a few day's break from constant driving and a good night's sleep in your own bed.

A practical test cannot be booked until you have passed your Theory test therefore it is recommended, though not essential, that you pass the Theory test before commencing an intensive course.  Your instructor will be glad to advise you when you arrange your introductory lesson.

We conduct courses from 1 day to 3 weeks depending on your ability and experience.

1 Session = 4 Hrs

ONE WEEK : (Monday - Friday) 5 sessions or 10 sessions

is for part trained pupils who have mastered basic manoeuvres and wish to advance to Test standard. Includes Theory and Practical training and testing where applicable. Also  6, 7, 8 and 9 day courses available.

TWO WEEKS AND THREE WEEKS : 10 to 15 sessions

Comprehensive courses including Theory and  Practical training, Ideal for total novices and also suitable for nervous and more mature pupils requiring more time to learn.

Which intensive course do I book ?

It all depends on actual hours of training, experience and professional tuition and practice you have already received. The younger you are the less tuition you normally need. We have devised a guide giving an indication to which course to book. Please note that this is a guide and you may in fact require more or less time.

If you are not sure on which course to book, we will book you an assessment lesson which will last for 2 hours. Your instructor will advise you on which course to take at the end of the lesson.
