car. |

|
One
Hour Lessons per week : |
|
| |
More for a
pupil who wants to take their time before applying for a practical test. from complete
novice to test standard you will be looking at a period of 6 to 12 months of lessons
before your test. |
|
|
Two
Hour Lessons per week : |
|
| |
More for a
pupil who wants to get the driving lessons out of the way and pass their test fairly
quickly, also a two hour lesson gives you more time to practice your manoeuvres at the
early stages of your driving. From novice to test standard you will be looking at a period
of 13 Weeks to 6 months of lessons before your test. |
|
|
Four Hour Lessons per week :
|
|
| |
More for a
pupil who may already have a practical test booked, because of the short time delay from
their test, they will be looking to put in that extra effort to be ready for the big day.
From novice to test standard, you will be looking at a period of 6 to 15 Weeks of lessons
before your test. |

Which type of lessons do I want to book ? |
|
| |
If you are not 100% sure on which lessons to book, why
not book an assessment lesson which will
last for 2 Hrs. At the end of the assessment your instructor will advise you on which
lessons will suit you most for your driving needs. |
|
|
How many hours will I need to do to get to test standard ? |
|
|
The
Driving Standards Agency advise to allow between one and half and two hours
practical training for every year of your life and taking into account your age.
This tends to be somewhat less when learning intensively. e.g. 18 years of
age would require a minimum of 27 hours of individual lessons, about 6 months
or more one hour lessons per week. On a two hour lesson per week course this would equate
to a minimum of a 13 week course with no experience. With
approximately 12 hours previous training this could be reduced down to a 7
week course.
At the age of 40 a learner driver would be expected to
take in excess of 60 hours, over 12 months of one hour
weekly lessons. On a 4 hour per week course this would be reduced to approximately a 15
week course depending on any previous experience this may be reduced more.

figures below or
based upon a 20 year old who would require a minimum of 30 hours of individual lessons as
a novice driver, but depending on previous experience this may be reduced. look at the table below :- |
